MoveMEN!

Strength in vulnerability.

Movement, Meditation & Mindful Dialogue — for anyone who identifies as male.

A safe space and supportive community for men to support each other through life's ups and downs — relationships, work, career, parenting, finances.

The MoveMEN! group gathered on a Hong Kong staircase

About

A circle of men, learning to be honest with each other.

We meet to be honest about what most men carry quietly — and to practise the simple, ancient skills of paying attention together.

MoveMEN! is a peer space for men in Hong Kong navigating the ordinary, difficult terrain of being a person — relationships, work, parenting, identity, finances, the question of meaning.

We do this by practising mindful awareness — connecting mind and body to bring greater clarity to our challenges, so we can learn and grow together.

Who it's for

For any man working things out, alone or together.

Your host

Facilitated by Brian Henderson.

I founded MoveMEN! after my own experience of burnout, job loss, depression and anxiety — and the slow, honest recovery that followed. The thing that helped most wasn't a single technique. It was being in a room of men who told the truth.

I'm a certified mindful meditation teacher, an adaptive yoga teacher and a Mental Health First Aider, and a member of Catalyst 2030's Mental Health Collaboration. Sessions are warm, structured and confidential.

From the circle

What men say about being in the group.

  • I came in carrying a lot and didn't know it. I left lighter, and with people I could call.
  • The first room in a long time where I didn't feel like I had to perform.
  • Quiet, structured, and surprisingly powerful. I walked back into the rest of my week different.

Writing

Reflections from the work.

Short pieces on mindfulness, men's wellbeing, and the craft of holding space together.

Reflections from sessions are in the works. Check back soon, or book a session to come along in person.

Book a Session

Sit in on a session.

A first session is a conversation — no pressure, no commitment. We'll meet briefly, talk about where you are, and see if MoveMEN! is the right fit.
